Measure the space you actually use
Write down your table width and length, ceiling height and the position of the electrical connection. Include nearby cupboard doors, windows and walking routes. Product photographs show a mood; the listed dimensions of your selected variant are the basis for your plan.
Try the footprint before buying
Cut a paper circle or rectangle to the proposed shade dimensions and place it on the table. Step back from the room’s usual entrance. This is an easy way to compare a discreet single pendant with a wider statement fixture. For several pendants, mark each position and the space between them.
Check the whole hanging length
Separate the shade height from the overall drop. Confirm which measurement the product page gives, whether the suspension is adjustable and what adjustment is permitted. Consider sightlines across the table as well as clearance when standing. Ask your installer about the connection and suitable mounting before ordering.
Save your final choice
